My old self and my new self

I'm trying to learn to roll more with my new self and having to relax the old self. It's hard. I used to work until I was wiped out. I would run any night I wasn't working no matter how hot. If it was too intense I would run at 5:00 a.m. before work. I would mow the yard without stopping and then chug some water and go for a run.

I can't do that stuff any more. And not just because I'm too tired for most of it, which I am. But because it's better for me and baby to just relax. I might crack a little later and take a jug of water with me and go walk on the track for just a little bit. I'm itching to get outside.

I think baby and I will get the our heartrate's up by yelling at the college world series game tonight like we did yesterday.

Happy appointment

I had another doctor appointment yesterday. The usual stuff, pee in a cup, weigh in (I gained 2.5 pounds). They were all ready to do a physical exam, but I just had one in January so scratch that. The PA and I talked. She's not worried at all. All my levels look fine from the blood work they did a couple weeks ago. Then she said she would go get a dopplar and we would listen for a heartbeat, and if we couldn't find it we would walk down the hall to try to get a picture. It didn't take her very long and she found it, beating at 166. Perfect :)

So she said to go home and take it easy, eat, sleep, go for a walk and come back July 1st for an ultrasound.

Drugs are good

So after much begging I was able to get some drugs from the doctor. So if I eat regularly and take the pills as scheduled I do pretty good. I was able to get through all weekend festivities just fine and am hoping to be able to do the same this weekend.

We go back to the doctor's on Thursday. It has me a little nervous but it will be ok. Then it shoudln't be too long before we can try a first ultrasound. Fingers are still crossed.

I'm starting to wonder what it will be like to sleep at the track this weekend for Relay For Life. Don't think I'll be able to make it all night without at least a little nap at some point.

8 weeks and counting...
