Hint of Spring

Sunday it got to an amazing 64 degrees outside. So after grilling out steaks for lunch (yum!), the kids and I threw on shoes and headed out. In January. Without coats. We played, watched ice fisherman and soaked up as much sun as possible. In January. Without coats.

We'll be staring at these a long time since it made it to 64 degrees Sunday afternoon and was -5 degrees here this morning. Sigh.

Happy 2014

We spent the new year by starting off practicing wearing our party clothes..

We spent the morning at the zoo, checking out the animals and waiting for the beach ball drop after we counter down until 12:00 noon.

After a quiet ringing in of the new year we spent several days just hanging out at home relaxing, playing and staying warm.

It even snowed here a little and Parker helped with his own shovel clear the driveway. He was so happy to get to help. In about 2 years he'll make a fortune scooping sidewalks around ehre.

We even celebrated a family birthday and the kids sat at the kids table without me. Big step! A little cake goes a long ways too :)

Merry Christmas

We've been wrapping up some Christmas festivities lately. We played Santa and dropped off some gifts to our cousins and friends....

We waited to watch Santa land in a helicopter...

And we went and saw the amazing tree at the Western Heritage Museum, which is beautiful...

All the running around has left us feeling pretty...
