This afternoon it will finally be time - Parker is coming home. He had surgery on Monday for his terrible reflux and all went well. We've had training, have a box of supplies, his moniter, feeding pump ready to go. I took home a bunch of the stuff from his room last night so that we don't have to worry about it today. So now it's time. This afternoon after the doctor rounds we are going up and getting him and all his stuff and come home. Home - all 4 of us under one roof.
136 of the longest, quickest, hardest, best days.

4 months
It's been 4 months today. 4 months since I woke up in the middle of the night and could NOT get comfortable, since I worked a full day while having terrible back pains on and off and thought they were just being squirrley, since I spent the night tipped on my head getting injected with more stuff about every hour just to have it not work, since I got to meet the two little ones who had been kicking me non-stop after and emergency c-section. It's kind of hard to believe.
Payton was in the NICU for 96 days. When I think of all the stuff that we saw or heard or went through, it's a little overwhelming and I still haven't processed all of it. That's going to take some time. Parker is still in the NICU. Parker has been in the NICU for 121 days as of today. We are working our hardest to get him home, trying to tweak all of these final things so that it won't be too long before he is. It's about time to remind Ms. Payton that she has to share her mommy and daddy time (and those other people that come to visit fairly regularly).
So, what a crazy 4 months it has been. I can't imagine how we got through it in the first place and I can't imagine doing it any other way now.
