Happy Days

At the appointment yesterday Chris got to hear the heartbeat for the first time. They won't give us another ultrasound for a month so we will get to look in at them then. We go back in 2 weeks to start my weekly shots.

This weekend they go on their first roadtrip - I'm headed to Minnesota for a wedding. Hopefully they behave for the car ride. They have been a little rowdy this week.

Always eating

I eat all the time. When I get ready for work in the morning I pack like I'm going on a weekend hike. While I'm at work, I seem to eat a little something about every 1-2 hours - a banana, a peach, a muffin, lunch, yogurt, berries. Or anything else I can get my hands on.

While I don't have cravings for weird stuff or even certain things necessarily, when something sounds a little good and I finally eat it, it tastes like the best thing I've ever had. Yesterday it was Cheetos. :)

Pop

I don't really know what they're doing in there. All of the sudden though I seem to be starting to pop. And I'm not the only one to notice. I've had many co-workers notice. Even mom noticed. I can't even wear my normal shirts anymore, unless they're one of my racing shirts.

Oh well. It's all part of it. However, I'm starting to wonder if they missed one in there ;)

Measuring

Mom bought 2 long shoe strings and tied them together. They are hanging on a coat hook on her office. Every couple days, or whenever she thinks I'm especially sticking out, she wraps it around my waist to see. She's marking if with bobby-pins with a marked on them for the date.

I believe they are 52" shoe strings, so hopefully I won't need to use all of both of them to measure around my waist by the time they come.

New Clothing Frontier

Yep, it's official...I can pretty much not wear my normal clothes anymore.

There are a few shirts that I can still wear without looking like I stuffed myself into them. And it's a good thing that I've collected some racing shirts the past couple years because they are big enough that they are comfy right now.

But this is going to get bad fairly quickly I think. Mom bought me a new outfit at Kohl's that I got yesterday which was awesome. My cousin gave me a bunch of her clothes from when she was pregnant since she's done with them. I bought a few summer shirts last winter and have broken those out already.

Good thing I'll be getting really big when as it gets colder and the clothes are all roomier. Not to mention I like to wear Chris' clothes. He's going to have to share with me before too long.

My new place

I went to the zoo on Saturday with Mom & Abby. It was really nice - not too hot, not humid. We walked around for 2.5 hours and it felt really good.

At the doctor's last Wednesday, I got told no more running (which I had done Monday) and no more mowing (which I had done on Tuesday). So I'm left with walking and maybe an occasional easy bike ride if I feel like it. I'm a little scared with the bike riding. I really don't want to fall and I think I'm gonna have a hard time keeping my competitive side quiet. So I'm gonna try to walk. And I think the zoo might be my perfect place. Lots of places to sit, lots of bathrooms, and i can take in my own food or drink if I want or can buy something all over the place if I need it.

P.S. If you haven't gone to see the new baby sea lion yet, she's adorable.

Game on

We had a doctor's appointment today...

Everything looks great so far. I'll be 12 weeks on Friday. Got to hear the heart beat again, which is so cool.

And most importantly...it's twins. :)
