Summer swing

It is officially summer, and the twins are busy in it!

Playing in the park by the "big fountain"

Hanging by their new water table (the other one finally broke!)

Cutting up melon (they're just butter knives, I promise)

Lived through more than a couple big thunderstorms and spent some time in the basement

Watched the deer that hang out in the yard

Been to the summer arts festival and got faces painted

Helped at the dog wash...

...and stopped for a donut break

got our official pictures taken for Blastball - there's only one game left!

and even had a day at the beach for a little R&R

Hope the summer is off to a good start everywhere else too! More to come - follow-up from Parker's last procedure, our last Blastball game and a special picnic.

Spring in Pictures

This has been the first full week that it really felt like spring (and even summer one day it reached over 100 degrees!). I've been taking lots of pictures lately, so not much writing this time, just pictures.

Workin' on the tomatos

Lilacs just barely in time for Mother's Day

April showers...

They turned the fountain on!

Happy Mother's Day to me :)

Car Wash!

The twins have a new job - car washing! We've washed mom, dad, and MaMaw's cars in the past week or so. And not just wash, but waxed, windows, interior, the whole works. Of course, once the water is turned off they do seem to loose a little interest. But they do love to be reminded they can pick out rags and help rub in the stuff I'm spraying in the cars.

As a reward for all their help with these car washes, we've been spending some major time at the splash pad.

Since the heat wave finally broke, we've been  making our treks down to the park and splash pad by having them ride in the jogger and me pushing them. They love it and are so well behaved when they ride in it, and it gets me up and moving. And sometimes I get lucky and by the time we get home in the evenings it  looks like this...
