The big 1-8

We are now 18 months old (don't let our size fool you). This morning we had our 18 month doctors appointment. Thank goodness Chris could go along to help since it's never fun having 2 get shots at the same time and trying to hold, comfort and get dressed again both of them.

Despite my worries that Parker is a runt and not gaining weight very fast, Dr. Woodford says he's still on target and making forward progress. The one area we're going to keep watching is his head circumference. There hasn't been much movement there, so it's something we'll keep and eye on and talk about the next time we go back. He's 30 inches long an a whopping 19lbs 13oz. He's in the 1% for weight and 3% for height for his actual age.

Payton is doing fine but was less than happy to get her 2 shots today. She is 30.25 inches and 23lbs 12oz. So she's still short, but her baby belly has finally come in.

I told the doctor to fix the fact that they can't sleep and he laughed at me. We talked about what they can and can't do, and what they're "supposed" to be doing. There are some concerns. We follow-up in a month with the NICU follow-up clinic at UNMC in a month.

We are done with shots now until kindergarten (YAY!). On the bad side, we have double sinus infections - which might have explained the fevers we dealt with on and off since Friday.

One appointment done. When you turn 18 months, all your doctors want to see you. We'll also be moonlighting in the next month at the ENT, pulmonology, Early Intervention, the follow-up clinic and at least one other I'm forgeting.
