A long 4th weekend

The babies (especially Parker) don't do really loud noises. For example, Parker goes into total meltdown if I try to vacuum or use the blow-dryer. And they tend not to last too long when there are very large groups of people around. So it was an easy decision to stay away from fireworks this year. Next year they'll be bigger, pay more attention, not so scared (hoepfully) of fireworks or people if we go somewhere to watch them.

We went to Farmer's Market and bought some goodies. It didn't last too long before Parker got nervous and upset at the crowd and we had to go. We checked out a new park. We played with our water table to help cool off. We tried to get Payton to keep a clip in her hair to keep the bangs out of her face (which didn't work)...

and Parker wanted to try on mom's head band...
We had a great time at the zoo on Sunday with Grandpa. We took them on their first ever trip to the grocery store to grab a few things. They did really well. I'm guessing it helped that we had a list and didn't get stuck waiting in line for too long. After the store, we hit the hardware store to grab something. The babies love pieces of PVC pipe. They can put stuff through there and they can't hurt it so they each got a new piece while we were there and when we got home, Payton was asleep and casted in it.:)

And other than a BBQ with Aunt Bo and Uncle Dave on the 4th, we just hung out at home.

Hope everyone else had a good long weekend. Work (for the adults), respite care (for the kiddos) and some appointments this week. Time to get some rest!
