Winter strikes early

It's been brewing for a few days. There's been something not quite 100% with the dynamic duo for about a week. My main goal was getting Parker through his procedure without being sick. We did that and I thought we were on the downhill side. I was wrong. Winter crud got us early. Monday morning Parker's eyes were matter shut, they both had coughs that were way down in their chests that made them cry and Payton sounded like a percilator. Not good. I was hoping to get through a meeting at work and take them to the doctor afterwards but that didn't happen. The doctor and nurses are of course great and know that when we come in, there's truly something up.

Payton had to of course help the nurses check the oxygen sats. They know how all the machines work and she has no trouble jumping in to help.

And for feeling as awful as they did, they were really good about playing while we waiting for the doctor.

Once the doctor came in he checked them both out and we made our plan of attack for this go around. Payton is on bout #5 of pneumoni this year, with a sinus infection chaser. Parker has pink eye in both eyes, a sinus infection and bronchitis. Not fun - especially since this momma is in the middle of my own meds for my strep throat and sinus infection.

On the way home I felt awful, they were a wreck, everyone's exhausted, so we stopped and got some McDonald's for them for lunch to help give a better start to the afternoon. I think it helped! Sometimes fries and chicken nuggets just make it all better.

Before dinner I made a dash to the pharmacy to load up on all things to make them healthy again. I had so much stuff, I almost needed an armed escort to walk out to my car. We're loaded up, let the recovery begin!

P.S. Hey winter, please leave us alone!
