Par-tay!

Last night was our Christmas party at respite care. It was amazing! It was Polar Express themed so all the kiddos were asked to wear their jammies. Each room in the building had a different activity. If you got your entire boarding pass punched at each stop, you got a candy cane when you left. Chris took the night off work to go with us, and we took Aunt Bo, Uncle Dave and Ma-Maw with us.

We started by doing the cake walk. Both kiddos won one round and picked a package with two Little Debbie cakes in them. They smushed and squeezed them to death but refused to give them up all night long.

We did a little Coal Throwing - throwing "bags a coal" into openings on the train (or at least we tried to).

This little guy is Owen. When we started at respite care, he loved Payton instantly. He used to push her around in a laundry basket. Now, since we moved to the toddler room, they're together again. They has to talk to each other and Owen wanted to show Payton his bracelet.

Payton has a very long conversation with one of her teachers about her bear and thought that she should just take him home with her since she already had one.

We had a few cookies and some Polar Punch to keep our energy up during the party. Yum!

We got the chance to do a little elf bowling with some girls too. And anything where Parker gets to throw a ball is right up his alley.

The last thing we did was see Santa. There was no trying to sit on his lap, but we got to be in a room with him by ourselves for a couple minutes. We got our pictures taken, got a special present from him, and gave him fist bumps before we left.

Thank you to everyone at respite care for the terrific time! And thanks Santa - we love the tea set and the new tools we got. Merry Christmas!
